Great Showing at Northwest Classic at U-Hi

Posted Sunday, January 11, 2009 by Troy Hughes
Last Week at the Northwest Classic at University High School. This tournament is one of the biggest that the team visits throughout the year with Lakeside being one of the smallest school. This did not discourage the eagles. The eagles put 5 in the finals with 4 at consecutive weights. The first was Mike Buamgraden at 112 who defeated his University opponent in the finals for first place. At 119 Mike's brother, Bryan, also defeated a U-hi opponent for first. Jacob Lauderdale at 125 only needed 46 seconds to defeat his opponent from Moses Lake with a pin in the finals. At 130 Josh Lauderdale narrowly lost his match to his Moses Lake opponent to get second. And in the final match of the night Ben Fuson loses his match in overtime to his Central Valley opponent. these were Lakesides only placers but still walked away with a fourth place finish. More to come with Lakesides next match against Chewelah.
